Specialization

Every healthcare specialty— no matter what it is— has billing quirks. These are the little bugs that cause claims to go unpaid, services to be bundled, and treatment plans to be denied.

Just as providers specialize to attain deeper levels of knowledge and expertise to treat specific medical conditions, HDS has chosen to serve specific healthcare providers. Having a large number of similar specialists allows us to spot trends in reimbursement much faster on a regional, payer, or code-speciifc level. It allows us to create a knowledge base and a thorough, effective process for dealing with denials. Limiting our geographical area also allows us to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals from governmental agencies and insurance companies, and our clients reap the rewards. Operating in this manner also allows us to concentrate our training efforts and other resources, providing our clients with consistency, knowledge, and higher returns.

Technological Advancement

HDS offers the most comprehensive online practice management system available through a strategic partnership with an industry-leading software company. This system is web-native. That means it was originally written for the web, and is available in the Internet Explorer browser from any computer that has an Internet connection and even some handheld devices.

Our system allows us to collaborate in real-time. That means that our clients have direct, live access to many important features including appointment scheduling, patient balances, advanced reporting, administrative and collection notes, and more. Co-pays are collected right in the computer, charges are captured at the time of service, and a dashboard delivers updated practice statistics daily.

Our system has an add-on EMR available, and also interfaces with more than 60 other EMRs and EHRs. So if you haven't picked one yet, take a look at ours. If you have one you like, you don't have to give it up.


 

Client Focus

It really is all about you. You'll be assigned a dedicated account team, usually of 2 to 4 people who regularly work on various aspects of your account. You'll know us; we'll know you. We're proud of our reputation of providing the highest level of client satisfaction and client retention-- we're proud and thankful that we still have many of the clients who came on board back in our first two years. The success of our business is directly correlated with our ability to help "our PTs" achieve their business goals. We have a track record of doing exactly that.


Patient Friendly

We West Virginians are pretty friendly folks. It's our nature to let you out in traffic, and help you find stuff in a store (even though we don't work there.) We also treat every patient like they are our grandmother. We've designed our statements to be easy to read. We help patients work out payment plans. When they call, we'll take the time to review every single line item, every single insurance payment, and every contractual adjustment, no matter how long it takes. We've helped our clients' patients navigate their own insurance policies-- all the way to the Insurance Commissioner if need be.

Is every patient as pleased as punch? Well, nobody is when they have a bill. But you can be sure that the patient will have a complete understanding of their account. And that they were treated nicely in the process.


Compliance

Health Data Solutions, Inc. endorses and fosters a "culture of compliance" in all phases of the company’s operations. Our goal is to obtain for our clients the full patient care reimbursement to which they are legally and ethically entitled, and to always do so in a manner that complies with both the letter and the spirit of all applicable regulations and guidelines.


The Compliance and HIPAA Privacy Programs are under the leadership of the CEO, who is our Senior Director for Compliance and Privacy. The program has been designed keeping in mind such guidelines as the "Compliance Program Guidance for Third-Party Medical Billing Companies" issued by the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services, relevant HIPAA, CMS guidelines and regulations.
